A good friend of mine sent me a website that I thought was an excellent idea for a vacation! The idea behind this 6-night 7-day culinary tour is to experience the best the Côte de Granit Rose region can offer. Spending the week at one of the oldest 18th century chateau in Brittany, you will eat the best restaurants, visit spectacular locations and shop at the best shopping spots.
If you enjoy cooking and want to pick up some techniques and recipes while you’re there, the tour’s chef will indulge you in cooking classes on making crepes, enjoy great wine and fresh seafood. My wife loves crepes, so this will be a bonus for her when we go. And since I love wine, I think this is a win-win for us. And shopping, bloody hell, who doesn’t like shopping?!!?!?
I took a look at their tour schedule and I already wish I made it this year. It’s food, shop, drink, food shop drink - I can live with that. Traveling to France should be added to the things I want to do before I die - a tour like this is a once in a lifetime experience.
I can’t think of a better way to enjoy the summer sun than in France next year!! I wouldn’t mind living like a “King” in my chateau for a week.
Some pictures from their website.

The chateau your tour will be staying at.

Looks peaceful…

The Price Tag…
Here’s the kicker - it’s almost $3,700 for the tour itself. Not including airfare. Quite steep, but if you’re looking for some exotic experience out instead of the traditional Disneyworld, Sea World, or Knott’s Berry Farm, Niagra Falls next summer, France is worth considering.
