As if there’s not enough bad news going around, the Labor Department on released numbers of last month’s job losses. This time, it’s 62,000 individuals got ran over by the unemployment train. Starbucks also announced more job cuts.
Meanwhile, in “all is good land”, “Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh signed an eight-year contract extension worth as much as $400 million with Clear Channel Communications Inc…” Go figure. So the thousands of people who lost their jobs can now sit at home and listen to Limbaugh on radio - what a snafu.
So for families who are struggling to stay afloat, consumers are changing the way they shop and are looking to internet communities for advice and help.

So while the economy appears to be free-falling, shoppers are still looking for things to buy, but only making the purchase when it makes financial sense and when they can save a few bucks with general consensus from their community.
