Taverncast started out 3 years ago as a podcast focusing on beer drinking and World of Warcraft. It was really a group of close friends getting together, drinking a few good brews, making smart ass comments and playing this online game. Oh yea, and working of course.
Eventually, the interest for World of Warcraft faded and podcasting about the game became less relevant. It turns out that the podcast could talk about any topic and fans would love it making it worth listening to - at least according to the listener comments. And so, the main attraction to our podcast was the chemistry between casts members, off the wall topics, the editing (OMG listen and you’ll understand why), and BEER!!!
Today, Taverncast covers a wide range of topics with a unique wit and inviting style. Pull up a seat, grab an ale and join in for a weekly virtual pub gathering.
Definitely one of the more entertaining, professional-edited, unpredictable podcasts out there. So, since I used to be part of Taverncast, it is with great pleasure to hear that TavernCast has been nominated in the Best Podcast category for 2008 Bloggers Choice Awards.
If you have a minute check out one of their latest shows and you’ll see why I think these guys should win the Best Podcast Award for 2008.
