So here we have it folks - about 1 hour ago while I was in the middle of an uber SEO meeting with my team, cranking out shiznit and figuring out secret sauces, the room we were in started shaking a little. Of course, I thought someone was running down the hall - they do that sometimes! I swear :)

Keep in mind, I’m from Michigan and have only lived in LA last year since I started working for Yahoo and decided to take a position at PriceGrabber.com May of 2008. So the thought of an earthquake is NOT the first thing that comes to mind when the room shakes.

But alas, I stepped out of the meeting room and saw other people walking around and I went OMG OMG WTF WTH! OMFG!! - Ok I didn’t really panicked but it did send shivers down my spine for a few seconds.

I learned that the 5.4 quake started East of LA near Pomona, CA. The aftershock we felt last no more than a few seconds, but that was enough for my first time. As you can see in the map below, we were near the epicenter, but not horribly close to realize the full effect of the earthquake.

Los Angeles Quake

Whew! I can now say I have experienced at earthquake, while not really caught in one. That’s quite enough in my books. Now back to some secret sauce uber SEO shiznit!
