As if the concept of a BLOG is not enough “about me?”
I’m not big into writing for this “about” me page. But for consistency sake I will entertain the idea of an About Me section of my site.
I live in Los Angeles, CA - moved from Garden City, MI in 2007 to work for Yahoo!. I recently left Yahoo for a gig at PriceGrabber.com as their SEO Director. I have a wonderful wife (pic coming) and 2 wonderful boys - Alexander (2 yrs old) and Jayden (1 yr old). My parents still live in Malaysia, where I was originally from.
Oh yea, I recently bought a Nintendo Wii - after 3 freaking months of hunting one down! It came to a point where it was all about finding one - and not so much about actually wanting one! Damn those Nintendo marketing people.
The meaning of my name: Derek
It is of English and Old German origin, and its meaning is “power of the tribe“. Here’s a definition in Wikipedia for Derek. Maybe someday my name will make it to that list as Derek Chew, SEO guru 
So that’s it for now - I might update this low priority page at some point. But for now - that’s all he wrote.
